About Us
Abbotswood Academy has been born from the want and passion for us to re-think early years training, from a team of active nursery professionals at Abbotswood Forest School and Day Nursery.
Our nursery is now a team of 60 staff who have a purpose, who sing about the nursery and their experiences to friends and family, and who add considerably to our parent and of course, child experience. We are outdoors 90% of the day, we work from our own home grown curriculum and follow an ethos of ‘Hygge in early years’.

The Wonder of Outdoors Training
This hands-on, full-day experience will explore how you can enhance the outdoor space in your setting, inspire your practice in nature and see it as a primary space.
Understanding the Why – Behaviour:
This full-day course will investigate the ‘why’ of typical childhood behaviours, exploring brain development, research, and theories. We will apply this to understanding possible reasons for children’s behaviour, helping identify positive strategies.
Inspiring Leaders
This full day’s training will give you the tools, ideas and strategies to develop your leadership style and motivate you to become an inspiring leader.
Coaching Services
Our coaching and mentoring programs are designed with you and are specific to your setting and staff vision.
We will consistently work with you to achieve results and empower you on your journey into understanding your nursery business and the quality of the childcare experience you are providing.
