Course Summary:

This early years safeguarding training in Hampshire gives practitioners the basic knowledge around safeguarding and child protection, exploring different abuse types and the signs to look out for. Our child protection course in Hampshire enables practitioners to confidently respond to any safeguarding concerns in their setting.

The Course

  • Learn about the role of the DSL, responsibilities, expectations and how to teach other practitioners about safeguarding and child protection.
  • Understand wider types of abuse, signs to look out for and how to support the child and family through different scenarios.
  • Explore the position you are in as an Early Years Provider to support children and families across a range of different safeguarding topics.
  • Identify the role you and your setting play, identifying early signs, providing early help, and accessing statutory intervention.
  • Reflect upon your own professional curiosity to ensure you have their best interests in mind.
