What’s included?

  • Learn about the role of SENCO, responsibilities, and limitations of the role of the early years’ settings understand the role of the SENCO as a support to practitioners within setting
  • Explore and recognise the roles and responsibilities of external agencies in supporting and working alongside the SENCO.
  • Identify different funding streams and understand how to allocate these most appropriately.
  • Understand how to effectively implement and follow the graduated approach and implementing advice and strategies to improve children’s outcomes.
  • Reflect on your understanding of the role of self-care as an essential component of being an effective Early Years SENCO.
