Who’s it for?

Parents of children in the early years

What’s included?

  • Understand how children’s brains are developing from birth and how the different parts of the brain and nervous system need to work together to support their emotion centre.
  • Identify what causes dysregulation and how it disrupts children’s emotional well-being.
  • Explore why children display certain behaviours, understand how they are forms of communication and how to understand how to deal with this.
  • Learn strategies and routines that support children’s behaviour and create an emotionally supportive environment.
  • Reflect on your own experiences and understanding of behaviour and how this influences your reactions and strategies.
